DESERT ROSE COLLECTION: UNIQUE LIGHTING DESIGN PIECES INSPIRED BY THE CRAFT OF POTTERY
DESIGNED BY KLOVE STUDIO IN COLLABORATION WITH AL GHADEER UAE CRAFTS

Derived from the sand of its sweeping desert landscapes, pottery has been a dominant craft in the UAE for millennia. For MENASA, Indian artistic lighting brand Klove Studio collaborated with Al Ghadeer UAE Crafts in Abu Dhabi, an organization that empowers women through sustainable crafts.

The Desert Rose collection is the result of this collaboration: three grand statement chandeliers in clay and blown glass, inspired by desert roses, the intriguing rosette-shaped crystal clusters that form in the desert sands of the UAE.

Through each of its collections, Klove Studio seeks to engage the five senses and provoke an enduring experience for the viewer. The process of forming clay from sand and water, working with it and shaping it by hand is a perfect expression of the power of creation from the most essential materials in nature. Combining this tactile, elemental material with the spiritual quality of light produces an effect even more complete and universal.
