Chronicling the first 50 years of the UAE, 1971 is a documentary that tells the story of the first 50 years of the UAE. Produced by the Emirates News Agency (WAM) to mark UAE’s 50th National Day, amazingly some 57.9 million around the planet have watched the 13-minute film. According to a survey by a specialised consultancy company, the documentary recorded some 21.5 million views on international television channels since its release in December and reached more than 36 million people on social media.
